Detailed Job Description: Engineering Summer Internship Program (Summer 2025)
Johnson & Johnson offers an 8-week Engineering Summer Internship Program (June 2025 – August 2025, dates may be flexible) for rising first-year college students who participated in the FIRST Robotics program in high school and are pursuing a STEM degree. The program is designed specifically for students with limited corporate experience, offering a structured and supportive environment.
Program Highlights:
• Real-world experience: Hands-on projects in either Supply Chain or Research & Development functions at various J&J US locations (Raritan, NJ; Raynham, MA; Cincinnati, OH; Santa Clara, CA; and Jacksonville, FL).
• Mentorship and coaching: Guidance and support throughout the internship.
• Networking: Opportunities to connect with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and universities.
• Skill development: Projects designed to enhance leadership, analytical, and project management skills.
• Cross-functional teamwork: Collaboration with individuals across Innovative Medicine, MedTech, and Corporate/Enterprise sectors.
• Onsite work: At least 3 days per week onsite presence is required (commutable distance necessary); some roles may offer a one-time housing stipend. Transportation is the intern’s responsibility.
• Full-time commitment: 40 hours per week; overtime eligible.

Qualifications:
• Strong preference for FIRST Robotics Program participation in high school.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Full-time availability (40 hours/week) for the 8-week program.
• Enrollment in an accredited college/university Bachelor’s degree program pursuing an Engineering, Science, or related STEM field.
• High school completion prior to the internship start date (entering freshman year of college).
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Commutable distance (≤50 miles) from one of the internship locations.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills (preferred).
• Ability to manage multiple projects and drive results.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, intellectual curiosity, and a dedicated approach.
• Self-starter capable of independent work and team contributions.
• Preference for engineering degree pursuit.
• Desired: Leadership/participation in campus programs or community service.
Application Process:
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis at the site level. The anticipated closing date is 4/8/2025. Pay rates range from $19.00 to $51.50 per hour, depending on factors like program year, discipline, degree, and experience. The position is overtime eligible.
