Job Description: Engineering Summer Internship Program (Summer 2025)

Johnson & Johnson offers an 8-week Engineering Summer Internship Program (June 2025 – August 2025, dates may be flexible) for rising first-year college students who participated in the FIRST Robotics program in high school and are pursuing a STEM degree. This program is designed to provide hands-on experience, coaching, mentoring, and networking opportunities.

Program Features:

Real-world experience: Interns will work on projects that enhance their leadership, analytical, and project management skills.
Cross-functional teamwork: Collaboration with individuals across Innovative Medicine, MedTech, and Corporate/Enterprise sectors.
Supportive environment: A structured educational experience is provided to ensure intern success, especially for those with limited corporate experience.
Skill development: The program focuses on building a strong career foundation.
Locations: Raritan, NJ; Raynham, MA; Cincinnati, OH; Santa Clara, CA; and Jacksonville, FL. Onsite presence (at least 3 days/week) is required; commutable distance is necessary. Some roles may offer a one-time housing stipend.
Full-time commitment: 40 hours per week. Overtime eligible.

Qualifications:

• Strong preference for candidates with FIRST Robotics Program participation.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Full-time availability (40 hours/week) for the 8-week program.
• Enrollment in an accredited college/university Bachelor’s degree program in Engineering, Science, or a related STEM field (starting the freshman year).
• High school completion before the internship start date.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Commutable distance (≤50 miles) from one of the internship locations.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills (preferred).
• Ability to manage multiple projects and drive results.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, intellectual curiosity, and a dedicated work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and contribute to team goals.
• Intention to pursue an engineering degree (preferred).
• Proven leadership/participation in campus programs or community service (desired).

Compensation: The hourly pay rate ranges from $19.00 to $51.50, depending on factors like program year, discipline, degree, and/or experience. The position is overtime eligible.
