Job Description: Engineering Summer Internship Program (Summer 2025)
Johnson & Johnson offers an 8-week summer internship program for rising first-year college students who participated in the FIRST Robotics program and are pursuing STEM degrees. This is a unique program designed specifically for students with limited prior corporate experience. The program provides hands-on experience, coaching, mentoring, networking opportunities, and a supportive educational experience.
Key Aspects of the Internship:
• Duration: 8 weeks (June 2025 – August 2025, dates may be flexible). Some teams may offer extended internships.
• Locations: Raritan, NJ; Raynham, MA; Cincinnati, OH; Santa Clara, CA; and Jacksonville, FL. Onsite presence is required at least 3 days per week. Commutable distance is necessary. Some roles offer a one-time housing stipend.
• Functions: Support roles within either Supply Chain or Research & Development.
• Responsibilities: Projects designed to enhance leadership, analytical, and project management skills. Cross-functional teamwork across Innovative Medicine, MedTech, and Corporate/Enterprise sectors.

Qualifications:
• Strong preference for candidates with FIRST Robotics Program experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Full-time availability (40 hours/week) for the 8-week program.
• Enrollment in an accredited college/university Bachelor’s degree program in Engineering, Science, or a related STEM field.
• High school completion and entering freshman year of college by the internship start date.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Commutable distance (≤50 miles) from one of the internship locations.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills (preferred).
• Ability to manage multiple projects and drive results.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, intellectual curiosity, and a dedicated approach.
• Self-starter capable of independent work and team contributions.
• Intention to pursue an engineering degree (preferred).
• Participation in campus programs or community service (desired).
Compensation:
• Pay rate: $19.00 – $51.50 per hour (depending on grade level, program year, discipline, degree, and/or experience).
• Overtime eligible.
• Eligibility for company employee benefit programs (terms apply).
