Job Description: Engineering Intern

ServiceTrade seeks a motivated Engineering Intern to contribute to its software applications (web and mobile) supporting a diverse portfolio. This in-office internship (Durham, NC headquarters) offers hands-on experience in software design principles, process analysis, problem-solving, and process improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities: The intern will collaborate within an agile environment, applying their education to real-world engineering challenges. They will contribute to projects engaging various computer science specialties, gaining exposure to a range of tasks and responsibilities within a growing software company. The role demands strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent organizational and time management capabilities, and effective communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work independently and collaboratively is essential, along with an interest in business process improvement and a willingness to learn.

Technical Skills Preferred: Proficiency with source-code editors, version control systems, repositories, multiple programming languages, testing and debugging tools. A background in computer science, data analytics, or a related field is required.

Internship Details: This is a 9-week paid internship (June 2nd – August 1st), offering a competitive hourly pay ($23/hr), a company-issued laptop, and 40 hours of weekly work. Interns participate in company activities (volunteering, ServiceTrade Dayz), intern-specific events (Lunch-n-Learns, team building), and gain exposure to senior leadership and networking opportunities.
