About the Role:
As an Engineering Intern/Junior Engineer, you will contribute to vital projects within the water sector, gaining hands-on experience and working alongside seasoned professionals. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to apply academic knowledge in a practical, real-world setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform engineering work across various disciplines, with a primary focus on water and wastewater treatment, as well as providing engineering services during construction.
- Actively participate in and contribute to engineering designs for diverse projects.
- Assist in the preparation of detailed reports and technical documentation.
- Contribute to the development of plans and specifications for a wide range of engineering projects.
- Review and check submittals to ensure conformity with established plans and specifications.
- Support the preparation of technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables.
- Engage in data entry and analysis to support project needs and decision-making.
- Participate in essential field activities, which may include site investigations and pilot testing.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Currently finishing or have completed your junior year of college.
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant experience and/or coursework in water/wastewater treatment and conveyance.
- Previous related internship experience is a plus, but not a requirement.
- Passed or currently scheduled to take the FE/EIT exam.
