What You’ll Do:

You will play a crucial supportive role, assisting with a diverse range of engineering projects and product development initiatives. Your contributions will span various critical areas, including:

  • Project and Product Development Support: Actively assist in project execution and product development tasks, including the vital process of writing, reviewing, and verifying technical specifications to ensure clarity and accuracy.
  • Documentation Management: Be responsible for the meticulous maintenance of product and process documentation, ensuring all information is current, accessible, and compliant.
  • Comprehensive Testing Assistance: Provide support for critical testing phases across various domains, including processes, equipment, raw materials, and finished products, contributing to quality assurance.
  • Equipment and Process Validation: Help with the validation of engineering equipment and processes, ensuring they meet operational standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conceptual Design Contribution: Contribute innovative ideas and support the development of concepts and designs for new products, processes, or testing methodologies.
  • Tooling and Fixture Development: Participate in the practical aspects of engineering by designing, procuring necessary materials, and fabricating custom tooling and fixtures.
  • Engineering Test & Experiment Coordination: Assist in the design and coordination of various engineering tests and experiments, helping to gather crucial data for analysis.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare standard technical reports and documentation to clearly and concisely communicate test results, project updates, and other findings.
  • Engineering Documentation Completion: Ensure the accurate and timely completion and maintenance of all necessary engineering documentation.
  • Training Support: Assist in the training of technicians and operators on newly implemented processes or updated test procedures, facilitating smooth transitions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for improvement within existing processes or products and submit innovative ideas and practical solutions.
  • CAD Utilization: Gain practical experience using SolidWorks or other CAD tools for design and modeling tasks; prior exposure is a significant advantage.

What We’re Looking For:

Education & Experience:

  • Current Enrollment: Must be currently enrolled in an accredited Engineering degree program (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, etc.).
  • Computer Proficiency: Possess strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Demonstrate a strong mechanical aptitude, showcasing an innate understanding of how mechanical systems work and interact.
  • CAD Software Exposure: Prior exposure to SolidWorks or other CAD software is strongly preferred and will be highly beneficial in this role.
