Job Description, Detailed

HII Mission Technologies is seeking a talented and motivated Engineering Intern to join their team, specifically to work on Department of Defense (DoD) programs. The position is located in Warner Robins, GA. This is a Part Time/Hourly/Non-Exempt role with anticipated salary range of $39,399.00 – $56,000.00. Travel requirements are low (0-10%), and the role requires the Ability to Obtain Security Clearance. This is an Intern HI level of experience.

The Engineering Intern will provide support for engineering, scientific, technical, and business support services under contract to current government customers. The intern will work both individually and in a team environment, actively contributing to meaningful projects and working closely with mentors and senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support the engineering team with functions in specialties such as electronics, electrical, and business administration.
• Assist with troubleshooting issues and provide technical support.
• Assist senior engineers with data analysis and root-cause analysis on electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical components and subsystems.
• Assist in the research, design, development, and testing of various electronic equipment and systems.
• Create and maintain various reports using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Capture meeting minutes and distribute them according to policy.
• Respond to telephone and email inquiries.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be actively working towards a Bachelor’s degree.
• Must have completed between 40% and 60% of the required credits for their Bachelor’s degree.

Physical Requirements:
• Job performance will normally require only minor lifting and carrying of boxes of records or equipment.
