Job Description:
This is an Engineering Intern position at Jacobs. The intern will provide support to teams on critical projects, bring fresh ideas, and work alongside professional engineers and project managers. Key aspects include:
• Project Exposure: Gaining exposure to project coordination.
• Software Skills: Utilizing relevant computer-assisted engineering software.
• Data Collection: Participating in data collection efforts.
• Team Support: Providing support to engineering teams.
Requirements:
• Currently enrolled or recently completed in an LACCD program.
• Experience with MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Attention to detail and the ability to exercise good professional judgment is required.
• Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management regarding project activity is required.
Essential Functions/Physical Requirements:
• Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting.
• Lifting requirements limited to 20 lbs.
• Hand manipulation required.
• Occasional need to reach above/below shoulder.
• Alertness to equipment in the field is necessary.
• Occasional travel is required.
• Potential exposure to construction job sites, hazardous equipment, uneven ground, dust, gas, fumes, noise, temperature extremes, and heights.
Compensation:
• Typical salary range for this position is $18.50 hourly and is commensurate with experience relative to the position.
