Job Description
Job Title: Engineering Intern (for Engineering students)
Location: Fort Worth, Texas (TX) office. This is not a remote position.
Overview: Kimley-Horn is seeking Engineering students to join their Fort Worth, Texas office as interns.
Responsibilities:
• Utilize technical software programs regularly to analyze, produce, and quality control (QC) deliverables for clients.
• Contribute to the pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for various projects of different sizes and scopes.
• Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to bring clients’ visions for the built environment to fruition.
• Develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and client’s practices, procedures, and standards.
• Interns will gain proficiency in one or more software programs specific to their disciplines, including AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro, and/or GIS.
Qualifications:
• Must be in the process of receiving an ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters).
• Eligible majors include: Civil and/or Environmental Engineering; Mechanical, Electrical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering; and Engineering Technology.
