Engineering and Technology Internship Program – Embedded Systems Track
This 12-week paid internship program offers an opportunity to dive into the world of embedded systems and gain practical experience in hardware and software product development. Interns will contribute to projects with tangible business impact, receiving guidance and mentorship from experienced Eaton leaders.

• Exposure to a combination of hardware and software: The program provides a comprehensive view of the product development process, offering experience in both hardware and software development.
• Real-world project experience: You’ll be involved in projects that contribute directly to Eaton’s business, working on cutting-edge technologies like IoT product application and development, firmware and software for micro-controllers, and embedded hardware for power distribution products.

• Preparation for future roles: The skills and knowledge gained during this internship will equip you for potential future opportunities within Eaton’s Engineering and Technology Development Programs.
Required Qualifications:
• Actively enrolled or having received a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical or electronics engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, or computer science from an accredited institution.
• Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship.
• Geographic flexibility to relocate within the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in embedded systems and exposure to software languages like C++, Java, and/or Python.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2.
• Prior internship or co-op experience.
• Demonstrated leadership experience within campus or community.
Position Criteria:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively explain technical concepts.
• Willingness to travel (up to 25%) within a local region as determined by the Engineering & Technology Assignment Manager.
• Geographic flexibility to relocate within the United States for the duration of the internship program to an Eaton facility.
Eaton offers a competitive total rewards package, including a salary range of $22.15 – $37.50 per hour. The internship culminates with a formal presentation where interns showcase their achievements and receive feedback from company leaders.
