2027 Accelerated Development Program – Engineering | Trane Technologies

The Tone:
This is a full-time accelerated development program at Trane Technologies, offering challenging assignments for recent engineering graduates. This role is crucial in developing future engineering leaders who will contribute to existing product improvements and new product development, directly impacting the company’s mission to put the planet first and boldly challenge what’s possible for a sustainable world.

The TL;DR

• Location: On-Site (5 days), with rotations that may include hybrid work and require relocation
• Pay: $78500–$86350 yearly
• Mission: To develop a solid engineering foundation through challenging rotations, contributing to product improvements and new product development for sustainable climate solutions.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Develop foundational engineering skills: Cultivate expertise in Modeling & Simulation, Value Analysis/Value Engineering, Product Management, Product Validation & Testing, and New Technology Development.
• Execute product line assignments: Work on existing product improvements, focusing on Quality and Reliability, Value Analysis/Engineering, and Productivity for 12 months.
• Gain cross-functional experience: Participate in a 6-month assignment to broaden understanding of various business functions.
• Lead new product development: Complete a 12-month project-based assignment focused on creating new products.
• Drive project execution and innovation: Own, organize, and collaborate with teams to successfully execute complex engineering projects and deliver innovative, efficient, and cost-effective solutions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or a similar engineering degree. Degree must be completed prior to program start with a required GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Experience: Minimum of one degree-related internship or six months of related work experience. Demonstrated leadership skills with a minimum of two examples, such as a school club officer, sports team captain, or leadership of work projects. Must be a U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
• Skills: Ability to view problems as opportunities and adapt quickly to new or changing business circumstances. Eagerness to proactively seek new information, skills, and experiences. Effectiveness in collaborating with others to produce results in a positive work environment. Motivation to leverage learnings for career growth and company contribution. Proficiency in diving deep into assignments to grasp engineering and technical core concepts.
• Bonus: Must remain geographically flexible both during and after completion of the program, with relocation assistance provided for distances of at least 50 miles.
