Engineer Co-op Program:
Cargill’s Engineer Co-op program offers students real-world experience, mentorship from industry experts, and the opportunity to see how their work directly impacts the world. What you’ll do:
As an Engineer Co-op, you will gain valuable experience by working on a variety of projects, including:
• Improving plant efficiency: Analyze and address efficiency issues.
• Collaborating with contractors: Work alongside contractors on various projects.
• Enhancing energy efficiency: Contribute to process improvements focused on energy conservation.
• Strengthening reliability: Implement reliability principles and practices.
• Optimizing plant processes and equipment: Participate in upgrades and improvements to plant systems.
You’ll also have the chance to:
• Work with a diverse team: Collaborate with colleagues from different functional areas, including safety and environmental, maintenance, engineering, contractors, and operations.
• Communicate effectively: Interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds and language abilities.
• Learn about regulations: Gain an understanding of safety and environmental regulations and their implementation within company policies.
• Develop problem-solving skills: Manage people, processes, and resources to implement effective solutions.

Job Requirements:
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree: Must be enrolled in a Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering program and graduating between December 2025 and August 2027.
• Legally authorized to work: Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Interpersonal skills: Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
• Commitment: Must be able to complete an 8-month co-op starting January 2025 in Georgetown or January or May 2025 in Camrose.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior experience: Previous plant, production, co-op, or internship experience is preferred.
• Technical skills: Ability to apply technical knowledge to job-related duties.
• Problem-solving: Demonstrated ability to solve problems and make decisions independently.
• Communication skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Leadership skills: Demonstrated leadership skills.
