The Engineering Co-op Role

This co-op position provides hands-on experience in plant operations, process improvement, and engineering projects.

Responsibilities:

Gain an understanding of the plant, process, and equipment: Collaborate with different functional areas on projects involving efficiency, contractors, energy improvements, reliability, and plant upgrades.
Work cross-functionally: Interact with safety and environmental teams, maintenance, engineering, contractors, and operations.
Develop communication skills: Collaborate with individuals from diverse backgrounds and language abilities.
Learn about safety and environmental regulations: Understand and implement company policies and government regulations.
Implement solutions: Manage people, processes, and resources to solve problems effectively.
Receive ongoing performance assessments: Receive feedback and guidance to continuously improve.

Requirements:

Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering: Graduating between December 2025 and August 2027.
Legally authorized to work in Canada: Must have the necessary documentation.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills: Ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
Ability to work independently and solve problems: Demonstrate initiative and resourcefulness.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous plant, production, co-op, or intern experience: Relevant experience is an asset.
Technical knowledge and problem-solving skills: Ability to apply technical skills to real-world situations.
Leadership and teamwork skills: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Georgetown, ON: Co-op starting in January 2025 (8 months)
Camrose, AB: Co-ops starting in January or May 2025 (8 months)
