Emerge Program Associate – Operations / Technology | WIDIA

The Tone:
This is a full-time, early-career leadership development program at Kennametal, an industrial technology leader. Kennametal delivers productivity to customers through materials science, tooling, and wear-resistant solutions across various industries. This role is crucial for building emerging leaders within the company by providing diverse experiences to expand perspectives, develop functional expertise, and accelerate career development.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Program Participation: Engage in a 2-year immersive leadership program with diverse functional rotations within Kennametal’s Operations or Technology business tracks.
• Functional Development: Gain experience in functional areas such as Materials Management, Manufacturing Process Improvement, or Project Management.
• Technical Expertise: Develop skills in Material Science, Product Engineering, Process Development, or Additive Manufacturing within the Technology track.
• Operational Contribution: Support initiatives related to Lean and Continuous Improvement, Environmental, Health & Safety, or Data Analytics.
• Skill Enhancement: Participate in a formalized mentorship program and ongoing learning journeys to enhance technical, professional, and leadership acumen.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level professional completing their final academic year in STEM, Operational Excellence, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field of study.
• Experience: Demonstrated strong organization, facilitation, leadership, project management, and communication skills, alongside a strong analytical approach to problem solving.
• Skills: Organization, Facilitation, Leadership, Project Management, Communication, Analytical Problem Solving.
• Bonus: Candidates with a minimum overall GPA of 3.2 are preferred.
