Job Description: Embark Scholar Intern

KPMG is seeking an Embark Scholar Intern to participate in its Embark Scholars program. This internship offers a comprehensive introduction to professional services, encompassing audit, tax, and advisory work.

Responsibilities:

Rotational Experience: The intern will rotate through the audit, tax, and advisory business units, gaining exposure to client service and career pathways within professional services.
Diverse Assignments: The role involves a wide range of tasks across different practices, including supporting engagement teams in the application of audit methodologies, data analytics (D&A), and tax and advisory-related projects. This includes data extraction, analysis, and the preparation of work papers and client reports.
Team Collaboration: Interns will work as part of engagement teams, contributing to business development activities, scoping engagement capabilities, reviewing client materials, and providing analytical insights to support project execution.
Technological Proficiency: The position requires using a variety of technologies and analytical tools.
Financial Integrity: Interns will contribute to maintaining the integrity and transparency of financial information.
Professionalism: The role demands upholding KPMG’s standards of integrity, professionalism, and a respectful work environment.

Qualifications:

Education: Must be enrolled in an accredited college, university, or community college pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accountancy, Taxation, or a related field.
CPA Intent: Preference is given to accounting majors intending to pursue CPA certification.
Academic Progress: At least one semester of coursework completed at the time of application, with at least three additional semesters remaining upon internship completion to meet degree and/or CPA eligibility requirements.
GPA: A preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Location & Transportation: Must reside within commuting distance of the office and have access to personal or public transportation. Work may occur at client sites, potentially requiring travel and overnight stays.
Age & Authorization: Must be 18 years or older by June 1, 2026, and authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
