Embark Scholars Internship

KPMG is currently seeking an Embark Scholar Intern for its Embark Scholars program. This internship is designed to offer a comprehensive learning experience for aspiring professionals in the fields of audit, tax, and advisory.

Responsibilities:

Rotation: Gain valuable insights by rotating through KPMG’s audit, tax, and advisory businesses. This will provide a firsthand understanding of how the firm serves clients and the career opportunities within professional services.
Diverse Assignments: Engage in a variety of tasks across different practices, supporting engagement teams with audit methodology, data and analytics (D&A), and tax and advisory related activities. This includes data extraction, analysis, preparation of work paper files, client reports and deliverables, and business development.
Client Support: Assist engagement teams in:
• Identifying the scope of engagement capabilities.
• Reviewing client materials.
• Providing insights gained from analysis.
• Proposing how analysis can be leveraged to execute engagements.
Technology Proficiency: Leverage a range of technologies and analytics tools to contribute to the integrity and transparency of financial information.
Professionalism and Integrity: Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility while upholding KPMG’s respectful and courteous work environment.

Qualifications:

Education: Must be enrolled in an accredited college, university, or community college and pursuing or intending to pursue a Bachelor or Master of Accountancy, Taxation, or other related degree.
CPA Intention: Intention to obtain a CPA is preferred, especially for accounting majors.
Coursework: Candidates must have completed at least 1 semester of coursework at the time of application.
Post-Internship Requirements: Upon completing the Embark Scholars internship program, candidates must have at least 3 additional semesters to complete before obtaining their degree and/or CPA eligibility requirements.
GPA: Preferred GPA of 3.00 or above.

Leadership Experience: Prior participation in KPMG leadership programs (such as Rise, Talent +) and/or other leadership programs is a preferred qualification.
Skills: Excellent communication, task and time management, and leadership skills; flexible and adaptable team player; resourceful in delivering high-quality work.
Location: Must reside within a commutable distance to the office and be able to travel to work locations using own means of transportation.
Travel: Work location may be in the office, but could be at client sites, some of which may require travel and overnight/extended stay.
Age: Must be 18 years or older by June 1, 2026.
Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship. KPMG LLP will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work visa status for this opportunity.
