Embark Scholar Intern Program:

KPMG’s Embark Scholars Program offers an internship experience designed to provide aspiring professionals with a comprehensive understanding of their services and career opportunities. This program aims to build future leaders in professional services.

Responsibilities:

Rotational Experience: Interns rotate through audit, tax and advisory businesses to gain hands-on knowledge of how KPMG serves clients and the diverse offerings within professional services.
Practical Assignments: Interns engage in various tasks across practices, including data analysis, supporting audit methodology, Data and Analytics (D&A), and tax and advisory projects.
Engagement Team Support: Interns collaborate with engagement teams to create work papers, prepare client reports, organize business development activities, and contribute to the integrity and transparency of financial information.
Analytical Skills: Interns leverage technology and analytical tools to analyze client materials, gain insights, and propose strategies for utilizing analysis effectively.

Qualifications:

Education: Enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a Bachelor or Master of Accountancy, Taxation, or related degree.
CPA Aspirations: Intention to obtain a CPA is preferred, especially for accounting majors.
Coursework: Must have completed at least one semester (or equivalent) of coursework at the time of application.
Degree Completion: Must have at least three additional semesters (or equivalent) remaining before obtaining their degree and/or CPA eligibility upon internship completion.
GPA: Preferred GPA of 3.00 or above.
Diversity and Inclusion: Applicants who identify as members of underrepresented racial and ethnic minority groups (Black/African-American, Hispanic/Latinx, American Indian/Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander) are encouraged to apply.
Leadership: Prior participation in KPMG leadership programs (Rise, Talent+, etc.) or other organization’s leadership programs is preferred.
Skills: Excellent communication, task, time, and leadership skills. Flexible, adaptable, resourceful, and a team player.
Location: Must reside within a commutable distance to the office and be able to travel to work locations using personal transportation or public transportation.
Travel: Work location may be in the office, at client sites, which could involve travel and overnight stays.
Age: Must be 18 years or older by June 1, 2025.
Visa Sponsorship: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for visa sponsorship.

Personal time off varies depending on job classification, standard work hours, and years of service. For California, the salary range is $63,000 – $75,000.
