Embark Accounting Intern – S | H&R Block

This 11-week program offers students studying Finance and Accounting meaningful, real-world experience, allowing them to apply classroom learning and make a valuable impact on the organization’s financial operations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Data Analysis: Research and analyze financial data for various accounting projects and reporting requirements.
• Financial Support: Assist with forecasting activities, financial reporting preparation, and process improvements.
• Technical Research: Research technical accounting and financial reporting matters to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Report Preparation: Support the preparation of financial statements, reconciliations, and various financial schedules.
• Project Collaboration: Collaborate with Accounting and Finance teams on diverse special projects.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Seeking to obtain a degree in Information Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a similar discipline with a GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Experience: No previous work experience necessary.
• Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills; highly motivated, organized, reliable, and detail-oriented; quick learner with an ability to work with new computer-based programs and databases; capability to work as part of a diverse team and independently.
