What You’ll Actually Do
• Provide personalized online instruction to individual students in elementary math.
• Break down complex elementary math concepts using hands-on manipulatives, drawings, and visual models.
• Guide students through essential math skills such as skip counting, place value understanding, and basic geometric reasoning.
• Adapt teaching methods and tools to meet the varied learning needs and developmental levels of young learners.
• Utilize AI-powered Tutor Copilot for real-time instructional support, lesson generation, and engagement features.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Deep knowledge of core elementary math concepts including number sense, place value, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, basic fractions and decimals, measurement, time, money, geometry shapes, patterns, and introductory data interpretation.
• Experience: Ability to effectively explain counting strategies, regrouping, and fact fluency while building strong arithmetic foundations crucial for upper elementary and middle school readiness. Familiarity with elementary math standards for grades one through five and common challenges students face.
• Skills: Skilled at breaking down complex concepts using visual models and connecting mathematical concepts to everyday contexts. Excellent communication skills coupled with a friendly, engaging, and patient teaching style. Ability to identify common student struggles and explain material using multiple approaches, adapting to individual learning needs and styles.
