What You’ll Actually Do
• Teach: Provide personalized one-on-one instruction to elementary school students in mathematics.
• Explain: Break down complex elementary math concepts like multi-digit operations, fractions, and geometry using various models and strategies.
• Adapt: Adjust teaching methods, materials, and pace to meet individual student learning styles and developmental needs.
• Engage: Guide students through discovery-based learning, connect math to real-world contexts, and build strong arithmetic foundations.
• Utilize: Leverage the purpose-built Live Learning Platform and AI-powered Tutor Copilot for session enhancement and logistics.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Deep knowledge of number sense, place value, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, basic fractions and decimals, measurement, time, money, geometry, shapes, patterns, and introductory data interpretation relevant to elementary math standards for grades one through five.
• Experience: Skilled at using hands-on manipulatives, drawings, visual models, and multi-sensory approaches to explain concepts and guide problem-solving. Experience identifying common student struggles and adapting instruction.
• Skills: Strong communication and an engaging teaching style, with the ability to adapt instruction to different learning styles and student needs.
