The aim is to create personalized 1-on-1 online tutoring experiences that help students achieve their learning goals. In this role, you will make a significant impact on elementary students’ academic success and understanding, all from the convenience of your home.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Instruction: Provide personalized 1-on-1 online math instruction to individual elementary school students.
• Explanation: Effectively explain core elementary math concepts, including counting strategies, regrouping, and fact fluency, to build strong arithmetic foundations.
• Guidance: Guide students through problem-solving, multi-digit operations, fraction concepts, and word problems using visual models and hands-on manipulatives.
• Adaptation: Adapt instruction using various approaches, games, and multi-sensory tools to meet individual learning needs and developmental readiness levels.
• Support: Utilize the AI-powered Tutor Copilot for real-time instructional support, lesson generation, and engagement features to save prep time.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Deep knowledge of core elementary math concepts, including number sense, place value, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, basic fractions and decimals, measurement, time, money, geometry shapes, patterns, and introductory data interpretation.
• Experience: Demonstrated proficiency in effectively explaining fundamental math concepts and breaking down complex topics for young learners.
• Skills:
• Ability to identify common student struggles and explain material using multiple approaches and everyday contexts.
• Capacity to adapt instruction to meet individual learning styles and student needs.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Bonus: Familiarity with elementary math standards for grades one through five, and awareness of common challenges students face, such as regrouping or understanding fractions.
