Role Overview:
The Electronics Manufacturing Intern will join a dynamic and innovative manufacturing team at AMP, playing a crucial role in providing hands-on electrical manufacturing support. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects and contribute significantly to manufacturing operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist with the assembly and testing of printed circuit boards (PCBs) and various electronic systems.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to support daily manufacturing operations.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing processes.
• Perform basic troubleshooting on electronic assemblies and components.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to production activities, test results, and quality checks.
• Support inventory management of components and materials utilized in production.
• Participate actively in continuous improvement initiatives, such as lean manufacturing or 5S practices.
• Follow instructions and respond positively to management direction, taking personal responsibility for actions, performance, and results.
• Meet commitments and complete tasks on time, or proactively notify the appropriate person with an alternate plan.
• Balance team and individual responsibilities, demonstrating objectivity and openness to others’ views.
• Provide and welcome feedback, contributing to a positive team spirit and prioritizing team success.
• Support colleagues’ efforts to succeed.
• Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality, ensuring work responsibilities are covered when absent and arriving at meetings and appointments on time.

Education and/or Experience:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
Basic computer skills are required.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings to customers, clients, and other employees.

Physical Requirements:
The role requires various physical activities, including occasional:
• Standing
• Mobility
• Sitting
• Using hands to finger, handle, or feel
• Reaching with hands and arms
• Stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
• Talking or hearing
• The ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment:
The employee may work in a typical office setting or lab setting, depending on project requirements. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
