Job Description: Electronic Technician – Precision Machine Tool Maintenance

Location: Various facilities across the Puget Sound region in Washington State, including Everett, Auburn, Bellevue, Algona, Kent, Puyallup, Renton, Tukwila, and SeaTac.

Job Summary: This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge, complex equipment used to build airplanes. As an Electronic Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and replacing faulty equipment, overhauling, rebuilding, and assembling a diverse range of plant equipment, including:

• Numerically Controlled (NC) machines
• Robotics and end effectors
• Modular assembly equipment
• Precision-built machines
• Material handling equipment
• Stationary generator sets
• Process equipment

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, service, maintain, upgrade, and modify machine tools and process equipment.
• Diagnose and correct equipment and/or system malfunctions using technical knowledge, existing procedures, and internal/external resources.
• Modify, test, calibrate, and document system configurations to meet compliance requirements.
• Utilize various types of computing systems or electronic/electrical test equipment to test the accuracy of electronic/electrical components/systems or to determine the accuracy of equipment.
• Collaborate with Managers, Engineers, Manufacturers, Vendors, and other team members.

Physical Demands:

• Frequent (3-6 hours) exposure to noise.
• Frequent (3-6 hours) sitting, walking, standing, climbing/balancing, rotating head/neck, flexion (head bent down, head bent back), twisting at the waist, handling/grasping, keyboarding/mouse, repetitive motion, and fine finger manipulation.
• Occasional (1-3 hours) fine motor skills, lifting less than 10 pounds, sitting, and using face, eye, and head protection.

Work Environment:

• This position is expected to be 100% onsite, requiring the selected candidate to work at one of the listed location options.

Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:
• 3+ years of electronic/electrical experience in machine tool maintenance, industrial electronic and/or electrical maintenance field, or military electronic/electrical system maintenance.
• 1+ years experience troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLC).
• Ability to work at heights up to 125 feet above ground level and pass Fall Protection Training.
• Ability to work overtime based on business requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working in manufacturing or industrial settings maintaining and troubleshooting equipment.
• Experience reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, material processes, schematics, and diagrams.
• Solid understanding of industrial electronic systems including HMIs, motor controls, PID loops, closed loop servo systems, and electrical sensors.
• Experience working around 3-phase, industrial voltages 480v, 277v, 208v.
• Ability to work around electromagnetic fields as a result of various types of production equipment.

Education:

• High school graduate or GED preferred.

• This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
• This position is for a variety of shifts, with the ability to work 2nd shift and potentially move to other shifts based on IAM contract and site needs.

Compensation:

• Summary pay range: $47.00 – $49.98 per hour
