The Milhouse Summer Internship program is scheduled to commence in early June 2026 and conclude around mid-August 2026.

What You Will Do

  • Assist with Electrical System Design: Contribute to the design process of various electrical systems, ensuring adherence to both client specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Shop Drawing Review: Participate in the critical review and disposition of shop drawings for diverse electrical equipment, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Project Documentation & Reporting: Prepare essential project documents and comprehensive reports, contributing to clear project communication and record-keeping.
  • Lighting Design: Engage in practical lighting design layout, utilizing specialized lighting software to create efficient and effective illumination solutions.
  • Power System Design: Support the design of power systems, specifically focusing on applications up to 13KV and below.
  • Data & Document Management: Accurately enter data and documents into various digital platforms, maintaining organized project information.
  • CAD & MicroStation Support: Provide assistance with technical drafting and design using industry-standard software like CAD and MicroStation.

What We Are Looking For

  • Academic Background: Successful completion of two years or more of engineering classwork at an ABET accredited institution.
  • Educational Pursuit: Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Technical Software Skills (Preferred): Experience with AutoCAD and REVIT is highly preferred.
  • Execution & Time Management: Demonstrated ability to execute tasks efficiently within a time-sensitive deliverable schedule.
  • Communication Skills: Possess strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction within the team and with stakeholders.
  • Organizational Skills: Proven ability to plan and organize daily tasks effectively, ensuring productivity and progress.

Hourly Wage: $20 – $25 an hour

The actual base pay offered will depend upon numerous factors including, but not limited to, education, experience, and specific skills. This base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
