CEMS Engineering, Inc. is actively seeking talented Electrical Engineering interns who possess strong technical abilities and a genuine interest in Building Sciences. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in various critical areas of electrical engineering within a building context.

Specifically, interns will be exposed to and contribute to projects involving:

  • Interior Power Distribution
  • Interior and Exterior Lighting
  • Utility Power Distribution
  • Motors and Transformers
  • Telecommunications

The Successful Candidate’s Responsibilities May Include:

  • Assist senior engineers with routine design tasks.
  • Prepare Electrical plans and specifications.
  • Review calculations and drawings for accuracy and compliance.
  • Handle other duties as assigned by the supervisor, contributing to various project phases.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering program from an ABET accredited institution or an equivalent program, coupled with appropriate continuing education.
  • Successfully completed coursework addressing Basic Circuits.
  • Must be able to coordinate effectively with other engineering teams and disciplines within the firm.
  • Ability to work independently within a team environment and effectively manage time to meet project deadlines.
  • Must be able to work and effectively coordinate with staff in multiple office locations.
  • Possess effective time-management, strong written communication skills, analytical capabilities, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is required.
  • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, decision-making capabilities, problem-resolution skills, and a strong sense of initiative.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment is required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills are required.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Fundamentals of Engineering (EIT) Registration.
  • Experience or working knowledge of AutoDesk Revit.
