The Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) group at RTI promotes a safe work environment and manages programs to improve employee health and safety. EHS ensures regulatory compliance in areas such as workplace safety, laboratory safety, radiation safety, and environmental regulations.
Job Description
The EHS intern will support the EHS team in various tasks, including:
• SDS (Safety Data Sheet) Management: Reviewing and finalizing SDS in the new SDS management system.
• Laboratory Chemical Inventory Assistance: Helping to maintain accurate laboratory chemical inventories.
• Laboratory Chemical Waste Management Assistance: Assisting with the proper management and disposal of laboratory chemical waste.
• Inspections: Participating in EHS inspections.
• Program Document Support: Reviewing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other EHS documents.
This is a hybrid role requiring some time at the RTP Campus with the flexibility for remote work.
