Editorial Intern | HYPEBEAST

Operating in over 15 markets globally, HYPEBEAST provides readers with the latest culturally-relevant news, particularly in men’s fashion and lifestyle developments. This Editorial Intern role is a unique opportunity to contribute directly to this mission by creating engaging cultural content across various verticals and supporting critical editorial and project management functions.
The TL;DR

• Pay: $19–$20 hourly
• Mission: This person will primarily create engaging cultural content and support editorial operations to expand HYPEBEAST’s reach in contemporary fashion and lifestyle news.
What You’ll Actually Do
• News Article Writing: Research and write compelling news articles on a variety of contemporary cultural topics, including fashion, footwear, art, music, and design.
• Social Media Curation & Strategy: Curate, write, and schedule engaging social media posts across Hypebeast’s platforms, while also learning social media trends and audience engagement to optimize content strategy.
• Editorial Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the editorial team to align social media content with ongoing stories and features, actively participating in editorial meetings and contributing to the overall content strategy.
• Content Idea Generation: Support the team by brainstorming and pitching new, innovative content ideas for future publication.
• Project Management Support: Support operations and project management by maintaining project trackers and assisting with team communications across various editorial and event initiatives, including Print Magazine and Tentpole events/IP.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Others. Candidates should possess a strong foundational interest in contemporary culture, coupled with excellent writing and editing skills, and a keen eye for detail.
• Experience: No prior years of experience are required for this internship role, focusing on gaining hands-on exposure to journalism and social media curation.
• Skills: Demonstrated strong research capabilities and the ability to identify credible sources, familiarity with key social media platforms and content strategies, and a proven ability to manage tasks independently while consistently meeting deadlines.
• Bonus: Prior experience in writing or social media management is a plus but not strictly required.
