Purpose and Overview:
The internship aims to provide invaluable hands-on experience in content publishing, editing, and writing. It’s ideal for those eager to build a strong foundation in the editorial field, gain practical skills, and achieve their career goals. The position may qualify for school credit if approved by the intern’s educational institution. It targets individuals passionate about writing, reading, researching, and helping others, who are also detail-oriented and self-motivated.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Editorial Intern, your tasks will include:
• Writing, editing, and reviewing 2-5 blog articles on a weekly basis.
• Working on special writing projects and challenges as assigned.
• Implementing SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and keywords into blog articles to enhance discoverability.
• Having the opportunity to network with industry professionals.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this internship, candidates must meet the following criteria:
• Must be currently working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or an industry-related field.
• Possess experience with using Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Docs.
• Demonstrate strong writing and editing skills.
• Have a passion for helping others.
• Previous blog writing experience is a significant advantage (“huge plus”).
