Job Description: Early Careers Recruiting Manager

The Early Careers Recruiting Manager at Shaw Industries will be responsible for leading the development and execution of recruitment strategies for all early career talent programs. This includes Sales, Operations Management Trainees, the Supply Chain Development Program, Co-ops, and Internships. The role encompasses the entire recruitment lifecycle, ensuring alignment with organizational goals to attract, develop, and retain top-tier early career talent.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Recruitment Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive recruiting strategies for early career programs across the enterprise (Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain). This involves collaborating with business leaders and HR partners to understand workforce needs and aligning recruiting strategies with organizational objectives. Staying current on industry trends to maintain a competitive edge in the early talent market is also crucial.
Pipeline Management: Oversee recruitment pipelines for specific programs (Operations Management Trainees, Supply Chain Development, Co-ops/Internships). This includes partnering with internal stakeholders to design and refine recruitment timelines, candidate experiences, and selection criteria. Collaboration with the Diversity and Inclusion Leader to develop strategies for attracting a more diverse candidate pool is also a key responsibility.
Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with universities, colleges, and other key talent sources.
Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, coach, and develop a team of two early careers recruiters, providing mentorship on effective sourcing, candidate engagement, and recruitment best practices. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
Candidate Experience: Ensure a seamless candidate experience from application through onboarding.
Innovative Recruitment: Create innovative approaches to attract and engage early career talent using social media, recruitment events, and employer branding strategies.
Performance Tracking & Reporting: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of recruiting strategies. Provide regular updates and insights to leadership on hiring progress, pipeline health, and diversity metrics.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3+ years of university relations/early careers and/or corporate recruiting experience in a corporate environment.
• Experience managing recruitment pipelines for large-scale programs (internships, co-ops, or rotational programs).
• Experience building relationships with universities and professional organizations.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to coach and manage a team.
• Excellent organizational and data tracking skills.
• Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment technologies.
• Ability to travel up to 20-30% at key times of the year.
