About the Role

Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a full-time Early Career Systems IT Engineer on F35 Pilot Training Devices (PTD) as part of the Development Environment Integrated Product Team (IPT).

Your Mission:

In this role, you will:

  • Perform hardware and software diagnostics, troubleshooting, and maintenance on multiple IT components.
  • Manage system integrity, availability, and cyber compliance of networked systems.
  • Assist in the development of solutions across components of systems through design, integration, implementation and support.
  • Participate in phases of software and hardware development, leveraging our DevOps engineering processes and procedures while performing respective engineering activities.
  • Collaborate with other program personnel, participating in cross functional Agile teams.

About the PTD Team:

The Pilot Training Devices (PTD) team creates flight simulators for the F35 fighter jet. The Development Environment Integrated Product Team is responsible for the infrastructure, third party software, and security policies across all our PTD products.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology or Software Engineering.
  • Knowledgeable in information systems networking or helpdesk methods.

Desired Skills

The successful candidate will ideally have experience and/or knowledge in:

  • Proficient experience in systems and information technology.
  • Linux Server Administration (RedHat or SLES).
  • Windows Server and Desktop OS experience.
  • Device management.
  • Active Directory experience.
  • DoD IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE).

Security and Certification Requirements

  • This position will require the selected candidate to have or obtain an Interim Secret level U.S. government security clearance before starting with Lockheed Martin.
  • Candidates must obtain a Special Access Program U.S. government security clearance within a reasonable time after starting the position.
  • U.S. citizenship is a requirement for consideration.
  • Candidates will be asked to obtain a DoD IAT Level II certification within 3 months of their start date, if not already held.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five-day work week, while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Salary and Benefits

Annual Base Salary Range (National)

For California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC: $57,500 – $101,430.

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Annual Base Salary Range (Premium Pay Areas)

For most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York: $66,200 – $114,655.

Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Washington State Specific Benefits (Non-represented full-time employees):

  • Accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons.
  • Receive at least 90 hours for holidays.

Washington State Specific Benefits (Represented full-time employees):

  • Accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month.
  • Accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually.
  • Receive at least 96 hours for holidays.

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
