Job Description: Early Career Spacecraft/Satellite Flight Operations TS/SCI

Lockheed Martin Space, located in Fort Belvoir, VA, is seeking a full-time Early Career Spacecraft/Satellite Flight Operations TS/SCI. This role provides support for a 24/7 crew or direct support to day staff within Flight Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support a 24/7 crew or direct support day staff position within Flight Operations.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts is a requirement for this position.
• Participate in an extensive education and certification program to utilize your current engineering skills in support of an important customer mission.
• Build upon your existing engineering skills through the provided training program.

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in a science and technology related program such as Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related disciplines.

• Experience working with on-orbit spacecraft or satellite flight operations.
• Familiarity with one or more of the following: LINUX, MATLAB, JAVA, C++, PERL, ORACLE/SQL, HTML, or XML
• Understanding of software/hardware infrastructure, middleware, and system architectures.
• Formal training/previous work experience in customer mission set.
• Experience with processing systems and architecture.
• Demonstrated understanding of user needs and operational environments.
• Demonstrated capability and success working in a customer environment with a multi-contractor, geographically diverse team.
• Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to meet time critical needs/demands with close attention to detail.

Additional Information:

• This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
• This position is onsite full-time at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
• Work schedule is a rotating 40 hour week as assigned by the leader.
