Job Description: E-Commerce Search Internship

Team: The E-commerce Search team at TikTok is responsible for developing and implementing search strategies and front-end interaction design. This team focuses on increasing revenue and creating a robust e-commerce ecosystem.

Mission: This internship provides students with hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment, allowing them to develop fundamental skills and explore potential career paths. The program includes a vibrant blend of social events and enriching development workshops, encouraging both personal and professional growth.

Duration: This 12-week internship program will begin in May/June 2025, with specific start dates available:

• Monday, May 12
• Monday, May 19
• Tuesday, May 27 (Memorial Day, May 26)
• Monday, June 9
• Monday, June 23

Responsibilities:

• Develop metrics and dashboards to measure business performance.
• Identify trends and patterns from data, and provide attribution for metric movements.
• Generate actionable insights to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in quantitative fields (e.g., statistics, engineering, economics).
• Ability to commit to 12 weeks of work during Summer 2025.
• Must obtain and maintain work authorization in the country of employment.
• Proactive, self-driven, and impact-oriented.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

• Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
• Experience in e-commerce or online marketplaces.
