Job Description: Documentation Engineer

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Documentation Engineer to join their team. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and secure operation of their systems. You will be responsible for:

Generating Version Description Documents (VDDs): These documents provide detailed information about the versions of software or hardware used in Lockheed Martin’s projects.
Conducting Peer Reviews: Collaborating with your colleagues to review and improve documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Maintaining Documentation and Libraries: Ensuring that all documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible to the team.
Performing Safe Audits: Auditing the security and integrity of documentation and media.
Performing Trusted Downloads: Downloading and verifying sensitive data securely.
Controlling Classified and Unclassified Media: Managing the storage and distribution of classified and unclassified materials.
Interfacing with Customers and Internal Team Members: Collaborating with stakeholders to address documentation needs.
Delivering VDDs and Media on Time: Meeting deadlines for documentation and media delivery.
SharePoint Updates: Maintaining and updating SharePoint documentation libraries.
Participating in Agile Activities: Working within an agile development environment.

The ideal candidate will have:

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM or related field
• Proficiency with MS Office Products
• DoD Final Secret Clearance
Desired Skills:
• Familiarity with Agile processes
• Experience with Atlassian Tools: Jira and Confluence
• Knowledge of Wrapping and Shipping Classified Media
• Proficiency with SharePoint
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Important Notes:

• This position requires a government security clearance, and you must be a US Citizen to be considered.
• The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
• The annual base salary range for this position is $45,200 – $86,600.
