Job Description – Disney Corporate Creative Resources (DCCR) Digital Production Intern
This full-time internship offers a unique opportunity to join the innovative team at The Walt Disney Company’s Corporate Communications department. As a Digital Production Intern, you will contribute to the digital team’s efforts, collaborating on projects for D23: The Official Disney Fan Club and maintaining content for internal and external corporate websites.
Responsibilities:
• Coding: You will be involved in creating HTML emails and web pages.
• Event Management: You will create and update events on the company’s internal event registration platform.
• Content Management: You will work with editorial and project management teams to update and manage content on multiple websites, including TheWaltDisneyCompany.com and The Walt Disney Archives.
• Media Management: You will be involved in managing and preparing media assets for use on websites.
• WordPress: You will gain experience creating and managing web pages through WordPress.
Essential Skills and Experience:
• Experience with HTML web page and/or email creation.
• Strong understanding of Content Management Systems (e.g., WordPress).
• In-depth knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, WordPress, responsive design, mobile web apps, native apps).
• Basic proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and other image editing software.
• Basic knowledge of video encoding software.
• Familiarity with React and other JS libraries.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• High level of responsibility and confidentiality.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels.
• Willingness to receive and provide constructive feedback.
• Familiarity with The Walt Disney Company brand and its businesses.
Required Education:
• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university (at least one class) OR recent graduate (within the last six months) OR current participant in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program, or Disney Internship Program.
Internship Details:
• Approximate dates: August 2024 – December 2024
• Full-time hours: Approximately 40 hours per week
• Location: Glendale, CA
• Housing and transportation: Intern is responsible for providing their own.
• Internet connection: A reliable, working internet connection is required.
• Dedicated workspace: A quiet, dedicated workspace is essential.
• Pay rate: $35 per hour in California.
