Deloitte Discovery Internship
Position Summary
Join Deloitte’s Discovery Internship program and gain valuable insights into working within a professional services organization. This internship is open to all eligible students, with a specific emphasis on attracting diverse candidates.
Work you’ll do
During this seven-week program, interns will be assigned to client projects, receiving mentorship and support to ensure their success. Beyond real-world project experience, the internship offers:
• National and Local Learning & Networking Events: Engage with Deloitte professionals and learn about various aspects of the firm.
• Ongoing Learning Events: Participate in lunch and learns, industry spotlights, and technical and client service skill development trainings.
• Networking Opportunities: Build connections with Deloitte professionals through social events and interactions.
• Experience Deloitte Culture: Gain firsthand knowledge of what a career at Deloitte entails.
Interns are expected to:
• Adapt to change
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Exhibit creativity and self-confidence
• Work collaboratively as part of a team
• Demonstrate leadership qualities and potential
How you’ll grow
Each intern is assigned a mentorship team consisting of:
• Counselor: Typically a manager or senior manager, providing career guidance and feedback.
• Onboarding Advisor: A peer-level “buddy” to answer questions and offer insights.
• Additional Mentors: Formal and informal mentorship opportunities throughout the internship.
These mentorship relationships can continue beyond the internship, providing a valuable connection to Deloitte.
Formal goal-setting and evaluation takes place throughout the internship. High-performing interns may be eligible for subsequent internship opportunities at Deloitte.
Qualifications
Required:
• College student with an anticipated graduation date of 2027.
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• CPA eligible (must have required credit hours for the CPA exam upon graduation).
• Strong academic performance with extracurricular activities.
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
• At least 18 years of age at the time of employment.
Preferred:
• GPA of 3.2
• Proven history of collegiate leadership (e.g., membership in a campus club or society)
• Preference for affiliation with organizations committed to inclusion
• Proven history of collegiate philanthropic activity
