Discovery Intern (Sophomore/Junior) Tax – Job Description
This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the world of professional services, specifically within the tax field. As a Discovery Intern, you’ll work alongside experienced professionals on real-world client projects. This experience will give you an understanding of what a career at Deloitte is truly like and allow you to build a strong professional network.
Key Responsibilities:
• Client Project Work: Interns will be assigned to one or more client projects where they will receive mentorship and support to ensure their success.
• Learning & Networking: You’ll participate in a variety of learning and networking events at both the local and national level.
• Skill Development: Ongoing learning opportunities, such as lunch and learns, industry/service line spotlights, and scheduled training programs, will help you develop your technical and client service skills.
• Professional Network: The internship will provide opportunities to connect with Deloitte professionals across various roles and departments.
• Social Activities: You’ll participate in social events that foster networking with Deloitte professionals.

Qualifications:
Required:
• College Freshmen, Sophomores, or Juniors with plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, economics, STEM, or a related field.
• Strong academic record (minimum GPA of 3.0)
• Successful balance of academics and extracurricular activities.
• Ability to work within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to be in the office 2-3 days per week.
• Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of employment.
Preferred:
• Strong academic track record (minimum GPA of 3.2)
Start Date: Summer 2025
Compensation: The wage range for this role is estimated to be $28 to $32 per hour, but actual compensation will depend on factors like experience, qualifications, and location.
