Job Description – Deloitte Discovery Internship

Summary:
This internship offers students a chance to experience what it’s like to work for a professional services organization. You’ll gain hands-on experience by working on real-life client projects, receive mentorship and support from experienced professionals, and attend various learning and networking events. The program is designed to develop your technical and client service skills and provide a strong foundation for a future career at Deloitte.

Responsibilities:

• During the seven-week internship, you’ll be assigned to one or more client projects where you’ll receive guidance and mentorship to ensure your success.
• You’ll gain exposure to a wide range of national and local learning and networking events.
• Throughout the internship, you’ll have opportunities to participate in lunch and learns, industry/service line spotlights, and regularly scheduled training sessions to refine your technical and client service skills.
• You’ll gain first-hand experience in what a career at Deloitte entails and have the opportunity to build a cross-functional professional network.
• You’ll participate in various social activities designed to help you connect with other interns and Deloitte professionals.

Growth Opportunities:

• Each intern is assigned a mentorship team, including a counselor and an onboarding advisor, to provide guidance and support throughout the internship.
• The counselor, typically a manager or senior manager, will offer career guidance and feedback.
• The onboarding advisor, a peer mentor, will be available to answer questions and provide insight into making the most of your internship experience.
• You’ll have the opportunity to connect with additional mentors, both formal and informal.
• The internship includes a formal goal-setting and evaluation process.
• Based on performance and other factors, Discovery interns may be offered a subsequent internship opportunity at Deloitte.

Qualifications:

Required:

• College student with an anticipated graduation date of 2027
• Definitive plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, economics, STEM or related field
• Strong academic performance (minimum GPA of 3.0) with extracurricular activities
• Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of employment
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship

Preferred:

• Strong academic performance (minimum GPA of 3.3)
• Proven history of collegiate level leadership (e.g., membership in a campus club or society) with a preference for affiliation with organizations committed to inclusion.
• Proven history of collegiate philanthropic activity.

Compensation:

The wage range for this role considers factors such as skill sets, experience, training, licensure, and other business needs. The current estimated range is $32/hour.
