As a Discovery Clerk, you will serve as a vital support for our dedicated litigation team, playing a crucial role in managing discovery processes, meticulously handling case management duties, and executing essential administrative tasks that ensure the smooth operation of our legal proceedings. • Mission: This individual is responsible for systematically organizing and managing all critical discovery-related tasks and information, directly enabling the litigation team to efficiently advance cases and achieve favorable outcomes.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Document Preparation: Responsibly assist the legal team in the comprehensive preparation and meticulous organization of various documents essential for the discovery process, operating under the direct guidance of experienced attorneys and paralegals.
• Correspondence Management: Contribute to the efficient flow of legal communications by helping to draft fundamental correspondence, such as meet and confer letters, consistently utilizing established firm templates and incorporating attorney feedback.
• Schedule and Deadline Oversight: Proactively track critical case deadlines, meticulously schedule necessary depositions, and diligently maintain comprehensive calendars for all time-sensitive, case-related activities to ensure timely progression.
• Case File Organization: Systematically organize and rigorously maintain accurate and complete case files, which includes the precise tracking of all incoming discovery requests and outgoing responses.
• Client Information Gathering: Skillfully communicate with clients to efficiently gather any missing or necessary information required to build strong cases and ensure all details are complete.
The Must-Haves
• Background: This role is ideally suited for an early career professional who has developed foundational experience in supporting legal discovery processes within a dynamic legal or administrative environment.
• Experience: A minimum of 1 year of direct, hands-on experience specifically managing and assisting with discovery tasks in a legal setting is a mandatory requirement for this position.
• Skills: Demonstrates exceptionally strong organizational skills and a meticulous attention to detail; possesses the proven ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks and competing deadlines simultaneously; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications and possesses the aptitude to quickly learn and adapt to new case management systems; exhibits strong written and verbal communication skills for clear and effective interaction; and thrives when working collaboratively as part of a dedicated team environment.
• Bonus: Fluency, both verbal and written, in Spanish is highly preferred, as it will significantly enhance communication with a diverse client base and is a valuable asset to the firm.
