This role is crucial for enhancing the quality of life for all residents by developing and delivering engaging recreational programs that promote dignity and independence. The Director of Recreation plays a key part in fostering a warm, nurturing, and homey environment for residents.

• Mission: This person owns the responsibility of creating and implementing recreational activities that cater to resident interests and improve their well-being.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Resident Engagement: Determine interests and preferences by engaging with new residents.
• Activity Calendar Development: Assist in the establishment of comprehensive monthly activity calendars.
• Program Facilitation: Support and assist in the execution of recreational programs tailored to resident interests.
• Special Event Coordination: Contribute to the planning and execution of monthly festivities and parties for residents.
• Volunteer Support: Provide assistance and guidance to volunteers during their scheduled activities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Director level. Prior experience as a Recreation Assistant or Director within a healthcare setting.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to lead others effectively.
• Skills: Strong computer proficiency, exceptional organizational abilities, proven planning skills, and the capacity to multi-task efficiently.
• Bonus: A positive, outgoing, and upbeat personality, combined with a self-directed approach to work.
