Job Description (Digital Technology Intern)
GE Vernova is seeking highly-motivated, organized, and personable Digital Technology Interns who are eager to grow their technical and professional skills and build a career with significant potential. This internship provides an opportunity to learn from industry experts and work on substantial, real-world projects involving digital technologies.
Key Aspects of the Internship:
• Role & Impact: Interns will engage in meaningful and impactful assignments, contributing to real-world implications. The program also includes team building and career development opportunities.
• Career Pipeline: The Digital Technology Intern role serves as GE Vernova’s primary pipeline for full-time employment opportunities, either as a direct hire or as a member of their world-class early talent leadership programs, such as the Digital Technology Development Program (DTDP).
• Focus Areas: Interns are assigned to specific areas within GE Vernova’s businesses based on position availability, interviewer assessment, and applicant preference. Potential focus areas include, but are not limited to:
• Product & Program Management
• Cyber Security
• Cloud & Network Technology
• Enabling Functions
• Data & Analytics
• Data Science
• AI
• Engineering
• And more.
• Duration: Digital intern assignments typically last 10 to 12 weeks.
• Exposure: Interns gain significant exposure to key IT and Software business leaders at GE Vernova and benefit from a global internship support network designed to accelerate learning and development.
• Potential Locations: Greenville, South Carolina; Schenectady, New York; Atlanta, Georgia; and other GE Vernova locations.
• Employment Dates: May 2026 to August 2026 (Summer). Co-Op opportunities may also be staffed and defined as applicable.
What You’ll Bring (Basic Qualifications):
• Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree program at an accredited university OR a credentialed software accelerator program.
• Eligible Majors: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Data & Analytics, Data Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or other relevant STEM majors with IT experience.
• GPA: Must maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (without rounding).
• Work Authorization: Must have the ability to work in the US for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship.
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
• Prior intern, co-op, or research experience in software, IT, or a relevant area.
• Leadership experience (both inside and outside the classroom).
• A strong commitment to a career in technology and a passion/aptitude for both software and information technology.
• Strong analytical and technical skills, with experience in software industry standards and development tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to articulate clearly.
• Demonstrated creative problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to learning.
• Ability to develop and maintain good customer relationships.
Benefits Available To You:
GE Vernova provides varied and competitive benefits to support its workforce in achieving its mission.
• Pay: The hourly pay for this position ranges from $21.00/hr to $36.00/hr, with the exact rate based on the number of years of undergraduate/graduate field of study completed.
• Relocation Assistance: Co-op/Interns are reimbursed for reasonable, proper, and documented expenditures incurred for initial travel to work and return travel to school/home upon assignment completion. Eligibility applies to employees with a permanent address greater than 50 miles from the work location.
• Housing Allowance: Co-op/Interns receive a weekly housing allowance to help offset living expenses when their permanent residence is at least 50 miles away from the work location.
• Employee Assistance Program: Provides 24/7 confidential assessment, counseling, and referral services.
• GE Vernova Retirement Savings Plan (RSP): Eligibility occurs after accumulated service reaches 90 days and other plan requirements are met (on the 1st of the month following the 90th day).
