About the Integrated Marketing Team
The Integrated Marketing team at Disney Southeast Asia oversees all aspects of advertising, research, media, publicity, and promotion for movies and shows released in cinemas and on streaming services like Disney+ and Disney+ Hotstar across Southeast Asia. The team manages a diverse portfolio of brands, providing unprecedented access to the company’s vast collection of feature-length films, documentaries, live-action and animated series, renowned classics, and short-form content.
About the Digital Team
The Digital team within Integrated Marketing leads all organic and paid social and digital activities for Disney Southeast Asia. Their responsibilities include:
• Creating engaging social content: The team develops thumb-stopping social content to drive brand and title awareness and social buzz.
• Managing high-impact digital advertising: The team develops and executes effective digital advertising campaigns.
• Insights-driven strategy planning: The team leverages data and analytics to develop strategic plans for social and digital marketing.
• Robust data & marketing technology integrations: The team integrates marketing technology tools and platforms to optimize campaigns.
• Openness to innovation: The team constantly explores new technologies and trends in the digital space.
About the Digital & Social Media Marketing Internship
This internship focuses on providing hands-on experience in planning and executing social media and digital campaigns for Disney movies and shows in cinemas and on Disney+. The intern will gain a comprehensive understanding of social media marketing, including:
• Social media strategy: Developing social media plans and calendars, coordinating content and asset rollouts.
• Agency communication and management: Supporting campaign briefing and communication with external agencies.
• Media strategy and planning: Participating in paid media strategy development and performance analysis.
• Data analysis and insights: Learning to analyze campaign performance data to identify opportunities for optimization.
• Social media engagement: Participating in social media contests, influencer collaborations, and event coverage.
• Staying current on trends: Keeping abreast of emerging trends and behaviors on social and digital channels.
The internship is a full-time commitment (Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm) between January and June 2025.
Requirements for the Internship
Essential:
• Current undergraduate: Must be currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, Business, or a related field.
• Digital fluency: Must be a social and digital native with a strong passion for social media platforms, content creation, and digital marketing.
• Entertainment interest: Must be interested in movies and pop culture; prior experience with Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel is a plus.
• Technical proficiency: Must be proficient in MS Office, Google Doc tools, and Keynote. Adobe Photoshop is a plus.
• Self-motivation and meticulousness: Must be highly self-motivated and possess a strong attention to detail.
• Adaptability and teamwork: Must be able to adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Communication skills: Must have excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Creativity and strategic thinking: Must be able to develop creative solutions and make data-driven decisions.
Desired:
• Digital advertising experience: Prior experience with digital advertising, influencer marketing, marketing dashboards, or data analysis is beneficial.
• Social media management tools experience: Working knowledge of social media management tools like Meltwater or Sprinklr is a plus.
