Job Description: Digital & Social Media Marketing Intern

Location: Disney Southeast Asia

Team: Integrated Marketing, Digital Team

Mission: To drive brand and title awareness, social buzz, and achieve business goals for movie ticket sales and Disney+ subscriber retention.

Responsibilities:

Social Media Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute social media plans and calendars for Disney movies and shows across various platforms.
Content Management: Coordinate the rollout, review, and approval of social content and assets.
Campaign Support: Assist with campaign briefings, communication with agencies, and aligning on campaign strategies.
Content Creation: Participate in ideation and scripting for publicity content featuring talent.
Paid Media Strategy: Support paid media planning, analyze campaign performance, and recommend optimization strategies.
Data Analysis: Learn and utilize campaign dashboards and reports to derive actionable insights from data.
Engagement & Community Management: Help organize social contests, coordinate with influencers, and contribute to social coverage of marketing events.
Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about emerging trends and behaviors in social and digital channels.
Collaboration: Work closely with other Disney teams and partners to ensure seamless cross-business campaign support.

Requirements:

Education: Currently an undergraduate pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, Business, or a related field.
Digital Savvy: A social- and digital-native with a passion for social media platforms, content creation, and digital marketing.
Pop Culture Enthusiast: Interest or fan mentality for movies and pop culture, with a preference for Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel.
Experience: Experience in digital advertising, influencer marketing, marketing dashboards, and/or data analysis is a plus.
Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office, Google Doc tools, Keynote, and Adobe Photoshop (a plus). Working knowledge of social media management tools like Meltwater or Sprinklr is also a plus.
Personal Skills: Highly self-motivated, meticulous, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Creative mindset with a strategic approach.

Internship Commitment:

• Full-time commitment (Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm) between January to June 2025.
