Digital Platforms (Banking) Product Owner, Assistant Vice President | Morgan Stanley

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Morgan Stanley, located in New York, USA. Morgan Stanley is building an industry-leading digital cash management platform that provides clients with self-service capabilities to manage wealth and personal finances. This role is crucial for deepening existing client engagement across all channels and expanding cash management product reach as part of an integration effort. The position supports the multi-year growth plan by building technology, formulating solutions, and helping scale the platform.

• Mission: Define and drive digital product strategy to develop, launch, and enhance platforms for unique customer needs.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Design: Design new and improved banking technology for clients, including mobile apps and website experiences.
• Requirements: Work with technology, business, and operations partners to define and write requirements and user stories.
• Research: Engage in end user research and use data analysis to inform requirements writing and wireframe design of new products.
• Testing: Engage in end user testing and supervise the execution of test plans to ensure product quality.
• Presentation: Present findings, project updates, and engagement/adoption metrics to executive leadership and key stakeholders.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor Degree; core domain knowledge in consumer technology, banking, wealth management, or digital strategy.
• Experience: 3+ years of technology product management or software development; experience with software delivery methodologies including Agile.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail in both technical and non-technical capacity; deep understanding of web and mobile technologies; excellent communicator with solid written and verbal presentation skills; excellent relationship building capabilities.
• Bonus: Professional experience in consumer technology, banking, wealth management, and/or top tier consulting firm with a focus on digital strategy; understanding of banking deposit products, payments, systems, and latest developing tech in this space; focus on usability and eye for design.
