Job Title: Digital Media Intern

Job Type & Schedule:
Remote: This is a remote position, allowing flexibility in work location.
For-Credit: The internship is designed to be eligible for academic credit.
Unpaid: This is an unpaid internship opportunity.
Hours: The commitment is 10–12 hours per week.

Internship Duration:
The internship will run from Tuesday, September 2nd through Friday, December 19th.

Job Description:
Showcase the World Travel is seeking a creative and motivated Digital Media Intern to significantly contribute to its growing video and social media initiatives. This role is ideally suited for a student pursuing a degree in Digital Media, Film/TV, Marketing, or Communications. The intern will gain valuable hands-on experience in video editing, YouTube strategy, and the creation of short-form content within a supportive small-business environment, helping to build a robust portfolio of published work.

Key Responsibilities:
• Organize and manage b-roll footage, including tagging and categorization, to establish a functional video library.
• Edit both long-form and short-form video content utilizing tools such as CapCut, Premiere Pro, Canva, or similar software.
• Upload and optimize YouTube videos by crafting SEO-driven titles, descriptions, and tags to maximize discoverability.
• Create and repurpose existing travel footage into engaging short-form content for platforms like Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
• Contribute to the development of the editorial calendar and actively participate in brainstorming creative video concepts.

Who You Are (Qualifications):
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Digital Media, Film & Television, Communications, or Marketing.
• Comfortable and proficient in using various video editing tools and managing digital assets efficiently.
• Possess a strong eye for storytelling and meticulous attention to visual detail.
• Familiar with current trends on YouTube and in short-form content across social media platforms.
Bonus: Experience with Canva, Trello, or social media scheduling tools such as Later is a plus.
