This is an opportunity within Southwire’s College Programs, which are designed to provide valuable, project-based experience to students pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher. The goal is to offer meaningful work that builds on academic learning, helping early career professionals transition from school to work. Interns and co-ops receive “real-world” applications of their academic studies, helpful feedback, and coaching, with consideration for employment after graduation.

General Program Details:
Purpose: To help early career professionals integrate formal learning with productive work, improving their ability to transition from school to work.
Program Structure: Projects are assigned at the beginning of the summer, with students responsible for developing a timeline, progress updates, and a final presentation at a senior leadership expo.
Rotation: All new interns and co-ops must begin in the summer rotation.
Assignment Length:
Intern assignments are generally 10-12 weeks.
Co-op assignments are generally 16-18 weeks.
Developmental Experience: The program includes an immersive onboarding and offboarding experience, an assigned mentor, networking opportunities, organized events, activities, and community service/volunteer initiatives.
Career Opportunities: Rising senior interns and co-ops are considered for full-time employment opportunities.
Compensation: Pay Rate: $20.00 – $23.00
Schedule: May 18th – August 7th

Specific Position: Digital Marketing Intern/Co-op

Position Summary:
This role supports the Digital Marketing team by contributing to projects aimed at building brand awareness, strengthening customer engagement, and driving business growth. The ideal candidate is expected to be creative, detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to learn various aspects of digital marketing.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in managing updates to various company online platforms.
• Support in tracking campaign performance metrics and preparing comprehensive reports.
• Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and valuable customer insights.
• Aid in the creation and editing of diverse marketing materials, including presentations, flyers, and product sheets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on the execution of promotional campaigns and new product launches.
• Contribute to developing content for various marketing campaigns, social media, email newsletters, and internal communications.
• Perform other marketing-related duties as assigned by the team.

Qualifications:
Minimum 2.5 GPA.
• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or Communications.
• Reliable transportation to and from work (Note: The job description lists “Remote” for location but includes this qualification).
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Possess strong organizational, planning, and analytical skills.
• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or other relevant tools.
