Job Title: Digital Marketing Intern

Commitment: This is a remote, unpaid internship requiring a commitment of 10 hours per week for 8 weeks.

Role Summary:
The Digital Marketing Intern plays a crucial role in supporting CSC’s digital marketing efforts, engaging key audiences, and promoting programs through compelling storytelling. This internship is designed for a proactive communicator seeking exposure to the marketing function within a climate-focused organization. The intern will contribute to digital content development, social media management, audience engagement tracking, community engagement, and supporting campaigns that promote awareness, enrollment, and brand legitimacy.

Qualifications:

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be 16 years or older.
• Currently a High School Junior/Senior or an Undergraduate Student at an Accredited 4-year University.
• Interested in Marketing, Content Creation, Platform Analytics, Social Media Management, and Corporate Communications.
• Able to commit ten hours per week.

Responsibilities Include:

Social Media Management
• Draft and schedule posts for LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook using tone-aligned language.
• Research and propose mission-aligned hashtags and engagement approaches.
• Analyze and report on post-performance and audience insights.
• Engage with DMs, tagged posts, and comments to expand online community presence.
Content Creation and Campaign Support
• Assist with designing graphics for posts, stories, and event promotion using Canva templates.
• Draft captions, microblogs, or other short-form content consistent with CSC’s brand values.
• Assist with preparing content calendars and campaign recaps for launches.
• Edit and organize photo/video assets from events or courses.
Analytics and Performance Tracking
• Assist with monthly performance summaries that highlight follower increase, reach, impressions, and engagement.
• Assist with identifying trends or high-performing posts to inform future strategies.
• Document growth benchmarks over time by platform and suggest adjustments.
Creative Collaboration
• Participate in brainstorming meetings for digital and content campaigns.
• Contribute ideation to real-time or seasonal trends.
• Support cross-department storytelling requirements for events, hiring, and announcements.
Professional Coordination
• Gain experience with real-world tools like Google Workplace and Canva.
• Receive mentorship on digital strategy and nonprofit marketing.
• Explore best practices for inclusive and mission-driven communications.
