Job Description: Digital Marketing Intern
RoomieHub is seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and results-oriented Digital Marketing Intern to build and grow its online presence. This is a part-time, remote, and unpaid internship, excellent for students pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and Implement Social Media Strategy: Create and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with marketing goals and the target audience (students, young professionals, individuals sharing living spaces).
• Content Creation and Management: Develop engaging content for various social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Reddit, and others), including text posts, images, videos, and stories.
• Community Engagement: Actively engage with the audience by responding to comments, messages, and mentions. Foster a positive online community.
• Platform Management: Maintain and optimize social media profiles, ensuring consistent branding and messaging. Stay updated on platform best practices and algorithm changes.
• Social Listening and Trend Monitoring: Monitor social media trends, competitor activity, and relevant industry conversations to identify opportunities and inform content strategy.
• Analytics and Reporting: Track and analyze key social media metrics (reach, engagement, website traffic, follower growth) to evaluate campaign effectiveness and provide regular reports with actionable insights.
• SEO, SEM, and ASO: Assist in optimizing website content, supporting paid search campaigns, and improving app store visibility to enhance online presence and drive traffic and conversions.
• Paid Social Media Campaigns: Plan, execute, and manage paid social media campaigns to achieve marketing objectives (e.g., app downloads, brand awareness).
• Collaboration: Work closely with marketing and development teams to ensure social media efforts are integrated with overall marketing strategies and product updates.
• Stay Updated: Continuously learn about the latest social media trends, tools, and technologies.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate is passionate about social media and its potential for brand building, creative with a knack for engaging content, an excellent communicator with strong writing and editing skills, highly organized and able to manage multiple projects, data-driven and comfortable using social media analytics tools, familiar with the target audience for roommate management apps (a plus), proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently. A degree (pursuing or recently completed) in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is required. Bonus points for experience with Canva, social media scheduling tools, basic graphic design skills, understanding of SEO principles, and being located in the Phoenix Metropolitan area.
