Description: Links Global Digital Marketing Internship

This unpaid, 14-week internship (starting 09/07/2022) in Rockville, Maryland (near the Rockville Metro Station, Red Line) offers undergraduates a chance to gain practical experience in digital marketing within a global development context. The internship requires a 15-20 hour/week commitment with flexible weekday hours (7:00 am – 8:00 pm ET) and options for in-person, hybrid, or remote work.

Areas of Internship Focus: Interns will be placed in one of the following areas:

Digital marketing strategy
Content creation
SEO/SEM, advertising, public relations, and networking
Digital development
Digital marketing analytics
Multimedia production
Graphic design
Stakeholder engagement

Currently pursuings:

• Full-time college student with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
• Completion of four semesters of college coursework.
• Commitment of 15-20 hours per week.
Preferred: Prior internship experience in digital marketing; successful completion of introductory courses in marketing, digital marketing, business, communication, advertising, computer programming, digital arts, and business; individual or group project experience developing a digital marketing campaign or products.
Plus: Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, Video Editing Software) and social media management tools (Hootsuite, Sprout Social).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work under the supervision of a Links Global employee.
• Develop digital marketing strategic plans.
• Research stakeholder opinions and marketing strategies, proposing adjustments.
• Support digital marketing campaign development, planning, and execution.
• Write copy for social media, emails, and other marketing materials.
• Assist in creating written, video, and image content.
• Participate in marketing brainstorming sessions.
• Assist in website SEO management.
• Participate in training opportunities (in-person and virtual).
• Gather data from primary and secondary sources.
• Measure and report on marketing initiatives.
• Research stakeholders and partners to promote campaigns.
• Prepare marketing proposals and presentations.
• Assist with scheduling stakeholder meetings.
• Manage files in a cloud-based system.
• Write, edit, and proofread documents and reports.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills Developed: Teamwork, collaboration, time management, research, strategic planning, leadership, critical thinking, interpersonal communication, information processing, decision-making/problem-solving. Interns will also learn about the process of developing and launching digital marketing campaigns.
