Job Description

This is a Digital Marketing Intern position with Chartwells Higher Education, a division of Compass Group, focusing on promoting the Boost mobile ordering app on the Worcester State University campus. The intern will work closely with Worcester State Dining and the Boost Marketing Team.

Responsibilities:

Drive app awareness, adoption, and usage: Implement marketing campaigns, social media strategies, and experiential marketing initiatives to increase the use of the Boost mobile ordering app among students.
Test and implement new marketing strategies: Utilize your creativity and knowledge of the campus to develop and execute innovative marketing tactics.
Represent Boost and Worcester State Dining: Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring positive representation of both organizations.
Gain real-world marketing experience: The internship offers hands-on experience in various aspects of marketing, including campaign development, social media management, and data analysis.
Exposure to Boost teams: Collaborate with different departments within Boost, including Marketing, Product, UX, and Data Analytics.

Learning Objectives:

Data analysis and decision-making: Learn to track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), analyze data, and use insights to make informed marketing decisions.
Marketing plan creation and implementation: Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing plan to achieve specific goals.
Multi-platform marketing: Gain proficiency in utilizing diverse platforms and strategies to promote a brand.
Mobile ordering implementation: Understand the intricacies of integrating mobile ordering into a campus environment.
Digital literacy and certification: Become digitally certified through Compass Digital’s training program, deepening your understanding of digital marketing concepts.

Key Responsibilities (May include any or all):

• Assist with the creation of marketing campaigns and promotional opportunities to increase app usage.
• Help plan, organize, and host Boost tabling events on campus.
• Create engaging social media content, including photos, videos, and reels.
• Contribute to the development and execution of social media calendars and promotions.
• Act as a brand representative for Boost at events and on campus.
• Complete digital marketing training modules and become digitally certified.
• Conduct student surveys to gather marketing research.
• Order and edit marketing materials through the Boost Higher Ed Portal.
• Manage signage at various locations on campus.
• Track app downloads through QR codes and social links, reporting on key marketing metrics.
