Job Description: Digital Marketing Intern

This internship offers hands-on experience in digital marketing, working closely with University of Utah Dining Services and the Boost Marketing Team. The intern will focus on promoting the Boost mobile ordering app on campus, driving app awareness, adoption, and usage through various marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in creating marketing campaigns and promotional opportunities to boost awareness and adoption of the Boost app.
• Plan, organize, and host Boost tabling events on campus.
• Develop engaging social media content (photos, videos, reels) for Boost.
• Assist in building and promoting a social media calendar.
• Represent Boost as a brand ambassador.
• Complete digital certification modules through Boost Marketing & technology programs.
• Conduct student surveys for marketing research.
• Order and edit marketing materials via the Boost Higher Ed Portal.
• Manage signage in multiple locations.
• Track app downloads through QR codes and social download links, reporting on key marketing metrics.

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Customer service experience and knowledge
• Proficiency with social media platforms and content creation
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Interest and knowledge of marketing and technology
• Prior marketing-related experience (a plus)

Learning Objectives:

• Learn to track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to make informed marketing decisions.
• Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans.
• Master the use of multiple platforms and strategies for effective brand promotion.
• Gain an in-depth understanding of mobile ordering implementation on campus.
• Develop digital proficiency through Compass Digital certification.
• Acquire a comprehensive understanding of mobile ordering integrations and offerings.
